The Effect Ration contain of Earth-Worm Meal (Lumbricus rubellus) to Performance of Japanese Quail (Coturnix Coturnix japonica) Growth Phase


The objective of this research is to know the effect ration contain various earth-worm meal (Lumbricus rubellus) storey; level to performance of Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) growth phase.
Realization this research in Karangmulya Village, District of Telukjambe, Karawang during is six-month, starting from  May 01  to October 31 2004.
Amount of used  quail counted 120 Coturnix coturnix japonica species quail tail old age one day. Quail divided at random into 24 cage provided with feeding  trough, dringking  trough and lamp 15 watt as heater.
These Research method used laboratoris eksperimental method and use Completely Randomized Design with four treatment of ration that is T0 :  ration contain 0 % earth-worm meal + 12,5% fish meal, T1 : ration contain 10,0% earth-worm meal + 0% fish meal, T2 : ration contain 12,5% earth-worm meal + 0% fish meal and T3 : ration contain 15,0% earth-worm meal + 0% fish meal and repeated [by] counted 6 times. To know difference between treatment used by Duncan Multiple Range Test at level 5%.
Result of the research indicate that showed of the effect ration contain 12,5% earth-worm meal (Lumbricus rubellus) yielding performance of Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) optimal growth phase.
